Can take many years — sometimes even decades!

Example: Creating a new medicine, like a TB vaccine, might take 10+ years of lab tests, human trials, and safety checks.
Imagine you’re trying to figure out what makes the best chocolate chip cookie.
You’d test different recipes, track results, maybe even ask friends to taste-test — that’s research!
Now imagine doing that with medicine, space tech, or climate science — way more steps!
