  Yes — but it’s a little complicated.
  
  We do have treatments that can cure TB, but it’s not like popping a couple of pills and you’re good. Treating TB takes a long time — like 6 to 12 months — and you have to take the medicine every single day.
  
  There are two types of TB:
  
  Latent TB – You have the bacteria in your body, but you’re not sick and you can’t spread it. Still, doctors give you meds to make sure it doesn’t turn into the active form.
  
  Active TB – You feel sick (cough, fever, weight loss) and can spread it. This definitely needs treatment.
  
  Here’s the twist:
  Some people get a drug-resistant version of TB, which means the usual medicine doesn’t work. That kind is harder to treat and takes longer.
