I was the communication lead during the piloting of the world’s first malaria vaccine. It was so exciting to report the news of the efficacy of the vaccine to the world, after the vaccine trials in 11 countries in Africa, including Kilifi and Kisumu in Kenya.
I actually used coding to determine the relationship of the cholera outbreaks in our country to those of other African countries. I have also published work on similar bacterial strains between Kenya and Uganda in the same year.
