I am a social scientist. My specialization is public policy. Public policy encompasses the principles, decisions, and actions governments take to address societal issues and achieve specific goals. It involves a framework of laws, regulations, and government behaviors designed to solve problems and improve the lives of citizens. Essentially, it’s the way governments choose to act, or not act, on matters of public concern. And my area of interest is corruption research. Corruption is a wicked public policy problem that I want to understand and help sort out. To become like me, study hard in school, take interest in solving social problems and start doing research early. Even students can be scientists! Hopefully, if I win this prize, I will come to your school and show you how to identify a social problem, do research around it, and publish your results!

Genomics and Bioinformatics. I study genes and use coding and AI to understand changes in genes for bacteria and viruses. I hope you become a good scientist. Science is all about you pursuing your passion wherever that may lead.
